After an overwhelmingly wonderful (but still overwhelming) experience at Burning Man, I rushed to get everything cleaned up as we were hosting the re-entry party for the folks returning from Burning Man, plus those who couldn't go, plus as many of our other friends as could make it.
Several friends I'd have wished could be there were instead at the Landmark Forum, one of the few excuses I can approve for missing a great party at Branting house. I can hardly wait to find out how it was for them (hint, hint).
And our party was truly great. I was prepared for wild noisy out-of-control Burning Man energy, and instead we got mellow, connective, present and loving energy. Very satisfying! Several people slept over, various groups went out to breakfast and Sher and I went off to the beach with one pod. A perfect completion to the weekend.
When I got back I had to hurry to help clean up (many others had been helping before) and then pack for a teaching gig in NYC. And here I am, staying at Learning Tree's corporate apartments in Times' Square. I like it here. I even like it that when I went over to Learning Tree this evening to check on things, I found that the lab had totally botched the setup for my course. Because I had to do it over, I will get paid more, and I can use the money right now.
I'm committed to teaching a breakthrough course which the participant acknowledge is of great value to them. I'm very willing to engage and flow with whatever gets thrown at me right now (knock of wood - that was not intended as a request to the Universe to throw extra challenges my way, thank you very much!).
I don't know yet whether I'll be allowed to assist at the Human Awareness Institute Level 1 workshop next weekend, as I won't be back until the end of the first session Friday evening. I have some wonderful friends who will be there. And there's still room for more people to join!
I have a lot going on in my life. It often seems like too much. I love all of it and I love my life.
